Get to Know Thomas W. Hodge, DMD
For over 30 years, Dr. Hodge has helped his community improve their health and smiles, and he says there is no better feeling in the world. His deep roots in Batesville come from looking after generations of patients and making sure their teeth and gums stay healthy year after year. He looks forward to earning your trust just like he has for so many of your friends and neighbors.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Hodge decided to become a dentist when he was in high school. He started by shadowing some hometown dentists and enjoyed the interaction with all the different patients as well as the problem-solving involved.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Hodge graduated from the University of Mississippi before going on to earn his DMD at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry. In addition to his firsthand experience, he has received extensive training in orthodontics under Dr. Dick Conlin and advanced education in implant dentistry from Dr. Arun Garg. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Mississippi Dental Association, and the Tri Lakes Dental Study Club.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Hodge has been married to his lovely wife, Sharon, for over 30 years. They are proud of their twin daughters, Anne Allen and Caroline, who are currently excelling in their postgraduate studies. The family attends St. Mary Catholic Church in Batesville. On the weekends, Dr. Hodge’s favorite thing to do is be outdoors with loved ones, whether it involves hiking, skiing, golfing, or running.
